Help Ben, Help Kids!

No matter how you met Ben, you know that he is a passionate advocate for the integration and inclusion of people of all abilities. This is evident through the kind-spirited and often hilarious way he moves through life and the wonderful people he surrounds himself with.¬†Variety is one of the beneficiaries of Ben’s kind spirit, creativity and enthusiasm for life.

During his time as the Summer Camp Coordinator for over 10 years, thousands of children of all abilities worked with Ben and his team to reach new heights and accomplish goals; athletically, socially, and independently, as a result of the Variety camp team and Ben’s incredible leadership.¬†Even though Ben moved on and is now a President’s Gold Realtor with Royal LePage, he is still involved in many aspects of the Village through his volunteerism.

If you asked, Ben would tell you that he left Variety a couple of years ago. However we here at Variety know that that’s a lie! He is still in touch with many of the families whose lives he changed and he often drops by for Ben visits, Ben Spin and Ben Bike Camp.

He embodies the spirit in every move he makes…we’re not ready to let him go just yet.

Support Variety Camps!

Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario offers several fully-integrated camps at its flagship facility, Variety Village. These camps give children a fun way to learn new skills, make new friends, and enhance self-esteem, athleticism and independence. With activities such as multi-sport progression, rock wall climbing and a high ropes course in an inclusive and barrier-free environment, kids with disabilities finally have an opportunity to play and learn with their peers on a level playing field
