INCLUDED PROGRAMS
All Variety Village members will enjoy free drop-in fitness and wellness programs such as Aquafit, cardio & weight training classes, kickboxing, Zumba & more! Click here to see the full list of included fitness programs. Our extensive program guide allows you the opportunity to coordinate your children’s program with your own workout or fitness class. We also have a Kids’ Zone program that is a free drop-in class for children aged 3-12 that is offered during the times of some of our adult fitness classes.
EQUIPMENT
Field House
Our 76, 000 square foot field house houses a 200m MONDO© Track, 3 full basketball courts, 5 rock climbing walls, a high ropes obstacle course, a pirate ship playground, and 7 Olympic weightlifting platforms. The MONDO track is cushioned to absorb the impact of the foot hitting it and transmit it into the floor rather than back up at the runner/walker. This results in a lower impact to the bones and joints.
Pools
Our aquatic facility features 3 swimming pools. We have a 25m long, 15m wide deep pool with a depth that ranges from 5-12 feet. It is divided into 6 lanes by Antiwave © lane ropes (developed for the 2000 Sydney Olympics). The pool temperature is kept at 86 degrees fahrenheit. Our recreation pool is a shallow 15m by 15m pool with a maximum depth of 5 feet and a 2 foot shallow end. It is equipped with assistive railings around the edge of the pool and a gradual ramp leading into it. This pool is also kept at 86 degrees fahrenheit. In addition to our 2 main pools, we have a 92 degree fahrenheit hot pool. This pool is very shallow (approximately 2 feet) and has high pressure jets along one side of it to give you that much needed post-workout massage.
Cardio Room
Our Cardio room features the latest equipment from Life Fitness, Technogym, and Matrix. Over 30 machines including treadmills, elliptical machines, Concept II rowers, Summit Trainers, recumbent and standard bicycles, stair climbers, and hand cycles provide a variety of ways to achieve your cardiovascular workout.
Weight Room
With over 10,000 pounds of weight at your disposal, our state-of-the-art weight room features the latest equipment from Atlantis, Apex, York Barbell Co., and Ivanko Barbell Co. The Apex line of machines offers the adaptable quality of a removable seat that can accommodate wheelchairs and power wheelchairs of all varieties. The Atlantis line offers a full range of adjustability in all elements of the machine. Weights can be adjusted within 5lb increments. Our plates are made by the York Barbell Co. and are of the highest quality. Our dumbbells are made by the Ivanko Barbell Co. (recognized by the International Powerlifting Federation) Whether you’re a power lifter, body builder, fitness enthusiast or someone just wanting to increase their fitness level, we have everything that you need.

Field House

- 2 lanes on track are dedicated for wheelchairs
- Wheelchairs and adapted bicycles available for use for people with special needs
Pool
- Bubbled tile to alert people with visual impairments that they are close to the pool edge
- Ramps lead into the shallow end and hot pool
- Lift can transfer people into the deep end
- Water wheelchairs available to allow people to roll right into the swimming pools
- Above-water pool lights fitted with diffuser domes to soften light and reduce the amount of shadows
- Hoyer Lift in family change room to assist with transferring participants to water wheelchairs
- Grab-bars around shallow end
