Weightlifting/Track and Field. A cerebral palsy athlete, Gina has competed in both track and powerlifting. Impressively, he won gold in both the Men’s 800m and silver in the Men’s -90kg powerlifting categories at the 1984 Stoke/Mandeville Games. At the Seoul Paralympics (1988) he won two silver medals in the 200m and 400m events, contributing to a spectacular all-Canadian podium sweep of the 200m event. In 2015, he was selected by the Canadian Paralympic Committee to carry the Pan Am torch through his hometown of Oshawa, ON.
