Taekwondo Team

For more than 25 years, Variety Village has provided inclusive Taekwondo programming for athletes of all ages and abilities. Delivered under the curriculum and guidelines of the Young Choung Taekwondo™ Academy, our program offers both recreational and competitive pathways, with a strong focus on the sport principles of Taekwondo.

Our coaches are trained through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), and all classes follow the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. Through purposeful practice, athletes build technical skills, confidence, discipline, and respect while progressing toward their individual goals.

Taekwondo Athlete Pathway

Our Taekwondo pathway follows the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, helping athletes progress from learning the fundamentals to developing advanced skills and competitive performance. With age- and developmentally-appropriate programming, athletes can transition through each level with the support of experienced coaches, building confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of sport.
