VOLT Hockey Team

The Variety Village VOLT Hockey Team provides athletes with the opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. Using specially designed electric hockey sport chairs, athletes with a variety of disabilities, particularly those with limited upper-body mobility, develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the camaraderie of being part of a team.

Variety – the Children's Charity of Ontario is proud to be the home of VOLT Hockey Canada, supporting the growth of the sport and expanding opportunities for athletes across the country. Through partnerships across Canada, Variety provides athletes with opportunities to learn, compete, and be part of Canada's growing VOLT Hockey community.

VOLT Hockey Athlete Pathway

Our VOLT Hockey pathway follows the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, helping athletes progress from learning the fundamentals to developing advanced skills and competitive performance. With age- and developmentally-appropriate programming, athletes can transition through each level with the support of experienced coaches, building confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of sport.

Your generosity helps create more opportunities for children, youth, and adults with disabilities to participate in inclusive sports.
